Just recently got ntl broadband and so have installed a few new things (Zone Alarm, iMesh etc.) but when i log off now on my main account (it's a family pc) it closes down all the programs (msn messenger, zone alarm etc) but doesnt log off windows so i have to click again and it then logs off. Doesn't happen with other accounts on same pc. Any thoughts?

As only your account is affected, I would make a new account (new Name for Now). If it shuts down OK--expected, transfer the files form the your account to the new account.[ Desktop, Favorites, Start Menu, Cookies, User data and My Documents. this has to be done from a third account--->best done in SafeMode from Administrator account. Then make sure it works OK. then delete the old account and rename the new one. Good luck
