i believe thats a log file that keeps track of all the changes that are made after you install the program? not sure... go to google.com and research it, best way to learn... but if you go to start menu > settings > control panel > add/remove programs > select yahoo messenger > and then click the button to the right of it, it will uninstall it....

some how you deleted the yahoo install log file, so now uninstall does not have the file to check on and use for the auto uninstall feature.

I would disable yahoo messanger from auto starting up and forget about it.It would hurt anything.

if you really wnat to you can go to c, program files, yahoo, messanger, and just delete the folder and files , but the reg setting and other crap will still be sparaled around within windows directory.

don't worry about it just forgrt it there, messing with it may make things worse.

NOOOOOOOOOO chipp, just deleting the directory wont help at all.......

the install.log is the file that holds all the install work that the yahoo installer did (including al the registry entries added/changed)... you can still do as matt asys and use windows 'add/remove programs' to completely remove it
