when i swiped my harddrive clean and installed everything over, ive been getting this message when i go into computer games or intsalling:
***Hardware failure
contact your vendor for support
**system halted
I have tried spybot and that didnt fix the problem, so i looked under device mananger and for some reason i have two radion 9000 series cards installed. When i uninstall the second card and restart my comp, in windows it will say new hardware found:Radion 9000 series, so its back to square one!
Then when i uninstall the first card, it reboots but, before i get to the desktop my monitor will just turn off. Then when i restart it once again, it will go to the desktop and show an error and that i cannot uninstall my video card!

Anything in bois that may help?
If i have one driver for the video card, will the hardware failure go away?

Please help me!
thanks,
Ryan

i would pull the video card, install some old card just to boot with. that will remove any drivers for the radeon.
then reinstall the radeon.

or, you can boot to safe mode, open device manager, remove any duplicate entries there

I have a Radeon 9600 Pro and it should be listed twice. I belive the 9000 is similar to the 9600 in that it supports two monitors. In fact, if you check Device Manager you'll probably see your monitor listed twice, as well. This is completely normal -- in fact, you may even have a third "default monitor" listed as well.
