Specs: Windows XP
I am unable to update my Netgear Router as when I hard wire it to the ethernet port the speed is too low to make a connection. Yet I get a decent speed by wireless use of the the router. Is tehre anyway I can improve the ethernet connection?

1. Why do you want to update it if its working?
2. Speed too low to make a connection? What do you mean by this? Assuming the ethernet port on the computer and the port on the router are both working and your connecting ethernet cable is at least cat5 standard and not hundreds of meters long, connection should be no problem. What exactly are you getting? (in terms of messages that make you think the speed is too low). Are your ip settings correct 9ie, set on the computer to pick up ip address automatically).
3. Did it ever work ok/how did you set the router up in the first place?
