i installed the wrong drivers for my hardware, on my motherboard i can install either ATA or Raid drivers for my RAID port, but i mistakenly installed the RAID drivers i want to install the ata drivers, but windows wont let me, even if i uninstall the drivers from the devicemanager when i reboot or scan for new hard ware windows just reinstalls the device with the same RAID drivers...it wont let me update the drivers either....how do i stop windows from autoinstalling drivers all the time..and get it to ask me what drivers to use?

Will Windows let you uninstall the driver in Device Manager? If so, do that and then go to Control Panel and use the Add New Hardware wizard...only point to the proper driver manually.
