Hardware firewalls?

as long as i've had this computer i have not been able tos end things via any instant messaging programs....or connect to video or voice chats of any kind...and no, i have no firewalls up.

are their any kinds of hardware firewalls or somthing i'm missing?

are you behind a router? Also some spyware blockers will also stop instant messages and video from being downloaded onto your pc.

I am not up on video conferencing, but i believe that you and who ever that you are trying to conference with must be on the same programs/servers or such programs as "UCeemeCu"
