Im making a server for a game. I was instructed to make a .bat file. How do i type in something and save it as .bat file?

Use Notepad. When you save the file, select "All Files" in the "Save as Type" field and be sure to save the file with ".bat" at the end.

A batch file is a normal text file you type enter your tasks or dos commands into notepad or other text edito. then, when you're finished, save as a .bat extension instead of a .txt extension. now, when you double click the batch file or type its name at the DOS prompt, it will execute the commands
