Hi, I am upgrading my laptop from a 30GB HD to a 80GB HD. I want to stay with all the info on the 30 GB. What is the best and easiest way and/or software to do this. It is my only computer. Also, I have a 120 GB External HD for storage. If I used Windows do I need to backup all info or just My Document and setting?

Before you spend any money, many new hard drives come with a bundled program to clone the old to the new.
Otherwise, I like Norton Ghost.

Sorry I didn't get back earlier. I appreciate all the suggestions and went looking for Norton Ghost and the others. I also came across EZ Upgrade Universal Hard Drive Upgrade Kit ( EZ-UP-UNIVERSAL ) by APRICORN. I had a 30 GB HD 5400 RPM at 29% free space. Getting VERY sluggish. Bought a 80 GB HD 7200 RPM. Bought the EZ-UP-UNIVERSAL for laptops. With it's boot disk, by-passing the OS I cloned the drives in less than 30 minutes and had the laptop running before 45 minutes in time. WOW!!! Forgot what a fast computer was. You can see and purchase the EZ-UP-UNIVERSAL at http://www.apricorn.com/product_details.php?ID=220 . Very good product if your upgrading or cloning a harddrive. Thanks for all the help!!!!
