Hard drive Wipeout

Dell / Optiplex 160l

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 2.392 GHz / 1015 MB
I was in the middle of doing a system clean (SpeedItUp) when my desktop went blank. Have used this many times without a problem. Almost everything disappeared or went into hiding. Many issues occurred, but I 'll start with this one. START/PROGRAM FILES/ BLANK ... nothing there. When I ran windows explorer there was plenty there, not all though . As I said MANY issues, but to start is there a way to get my program files back in the start menu?

So other than your current problem, does this program make your system run 300% faster like it claims? lol

Couldn't care less about that. It's one of a few free programs that cleans up clutter. Not all do everything, but a few do a lot.

SpeedItUp is snake oil & loads spyware on your system. Have you tried SpeedUpMyPC too? lol

If you want something that works well & won't muck up your system, try CCleaner-Slim or Glary Utilities-Slim.

If their software caused the problem, seek help first from their website/support section. They know their product best, and would know best what it might have done and how to reverse it. There is also where others would have reported similar problems if there are any (probably).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
