i didn't think this was even possible but my 250gb western digital hard drive only has 2gb on it. It is my second hard drive and it was fine yesterday when i went to bed. Wehn i woke up it was like that. I even reformated it but it is still only 2gb!!!

If your drive is partitioned as a FAT16 volume - you will run into that limitation.

Hard to imagine that happening on its own - and naturally, formatting does not affect a partition's size, you would need to repartition if that is the case
