hard drive part FAT32 part NTFS?

CAn windowsXP make a FAT32 partition and a NTFS partition on the same drive? for example a 120 gig hard drive with a 100 gig NTFS partition and a 20 gig FAT32 partition?

Yes, you can make either system on same driver with different parts.

On Win XP, as far as I know you have choose between FAT32 or NTFS not both.

2000 and XP, both have the ability to create and read FAT32 and NTFS partitions.
FAT32 partitions are limited to 32GB in 2000 and XP.
during install create your 100GB NTFS, then use Disk Management in XP to create your 20GB FAT32 partition.

fat32 can be over 32gig and up to the newest hard drives in winxp. just format the whole drive fat32 before winxp installation then when asked to partition and format during install there will be another option saying leave partiton alone(no changes) and install on that one. 120gig fat32 partition in winxp is no problem(per customers request)
