I have installed 2 hard drives on my computer and formated and reinstalled windows on them. They work for about a day and then my computer says you computer has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. I some times get the message your hard disk may be damaged or the cables may not be installed correctly or somethin like that. Can some one please tell me the problem?

Thank you

Obviously an older machine with a low wattage power supply. 128 memory is not enough to run XP very well. Try removing 1 hard drive and see what happens.

IMHO, yes maybe your pc needs higher wattage power supply like 300W output ps, and also check your cabling connections, master should be on the cable end and slave on the middle. You can also try the other hard drive on the secondary ide and see if the problem will occur again.
