I have a Maxtor 34GB hard disk and everything was fine until I got the Agobot virus. I decided to just reformat and start over. Everything went fine except that now my hard drive shows only 12.X GB. Windows installed fine anyways and works well but still. I already tried a full low level format and the first time I reformatted I used Partition Magic 8.0 and had only 1 partition.

Take the maxtor cd and make the diag floppy. Format the drive in fat32. See if it shows a full drive partition. Then use the xp cd to reformat in ntfs.
