When I boot my computer, it says something like "Disk Read Error, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart." The computer is an HP Pavillion XT938. How do I correct this?

"Take the non bootable floppy out" LOL

Umm give a little details. Your computer wasn't giving you this problem since you bought it, Was it?

That Disk Read Errors sounds like you need to run scan disk on that hard drive. You can do that with a windows 9x startup floppy. Or your hard drive a'in't good anymore.
