hi,
I have a big problem in my eyes really, I want to format the hard drive because theres too much crap on it but theres a problem. I want to create a partition to backup all my files. Im trying to use Partition Magic 8.1 but when it reboots the PC and attempts to create a new partition it says: Error 27 Cannot Lock Drive.
I have no idea what that is!!
How can i create a new partition or backup my files. because theres 25GB to backup.
Any ideas will be great!!

Thanks amit

I read that it could be the jumpers on your hdd.

If it's set to "Cable select", change it to "Master".

You must first resize the C: drive to make room for the new partition then go back and create a new partition in the unallocated space.
