I recently installed a new motherboard/cpu. I was having problems with it freezing on me and eventually gave me page fault in non page area message every time I tried to boot so I figured it was a faulty ram stick. I reinstalled my old motherboard/cpu with different ram only to find the same problem. I cannot load xp, not even in safe mode, when I try to install xp as soon as it finishes copying files and I hit enter to install a new copy it gives me the same page fault in non page area message. I also tried hooking up my hard drive to another computer with xp pro as a slave and it will not even load. It gives me the BSOD! I have run out of ideas, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There are some tricks you can try, and folks will start chiming in here shortly, I'm sure. But, really, most of the time ya just can't do that. Any time I install a new motherboard, I start over from sctatch. Rarely can you change mobos and just keep on truckin'. Even when it does work, you end up with more problems. Good luck.
