I am having a problem with my hard drive filling up uncontrollably. Believe it or not HD's do get filled up 'uncontrollably'! When I go to remove/add programs, the biggest program I see there is my MS Office product at about 500 MB. I have other things that add up to 50 MB. That, I know, is not enough to fill up 20 GB. My Norton disc clean up keeps coming up every time I restart my PC saying I am running out of disc space and that I should remove some programs I don't use. (I have often thought about removing Norton to stop the nuisance!)Last time I removed adobe, thinking I will download it as I need it. I have Spybot, Spyhunter, adware, zonelab and Norton Antivirus and Firewall running. I run one or the other daily, and they all say my PC is spic n' span clean! whateve I got is not your average virus! I had boradband and DSL at diffrent times. I have now gone 56K hoping this craziness would stop. I also had Kazza on my PC at one time. I dropped it long before they started threatning to sue, but I am afraid it had not dropped me! My freaking PC is drowning and I can't help it! HELP!!!

did u install bootvis???
if u did, remove itcheck this path
x:\windows\system32\logfiles\wmi\
if u have a lage file, delete it...

Another thing I notice that is taking up space is EVENT VIEWER logs. Go into EV then right click each catagory, then click "Clear all events".

disable eventloging in zone alarm ... then delete all ZA logfiles from the following folder: c:\windows\internet logs ... good luck

In Add/Remove programs, my Office 2000 with SR1 is 89 megs. I have another entry for Publisher that's 127 megs. Don't know why that's separate since Publisher, Excel, Word, etc. are all in office. Maybe I have another copy installed.
Anyway, something's wrong there.
Do a search for very large files. Set it at, say, 1 meg and above and see what you come up with.
Go to My Computer, check on the c: drive properties to see how much they say you have.
Do the other advice here.
Finally, hard to believe, but 20Gigs is getting smaller every day.

You could have a conflict between zonealarm and norton firewall. shut down one and try it. Running 2 firewalls is not recommended.Rgds.
