Hi,

I have recently installed XP on my machine. It randomly hangs, I can do nothing, all I see is the same screen as I was working on, but can't move mouse or anything else. Any ideas on what to do??

Thanks.

David.

Change memory or you may try what worked for me on one not too long ago. I changed the processer speed in bios and underclocked it a bit from what I had it and all was well from then on. It should have run at what it was set on but wouldnt. Just hang up and nothing you could do but restart and would soon do it again afterward. Just a thought.

Also check Task Manager and make sure nothing is running that shouldn't be. Or that something is in the list that shouldn't be there in the first place.
