Comment:

Working on my pc I had a hammer noise and thought it was my neighbour making that noise to annoy me, as it was so regular I thought he used a machine.

It nerved me so much I turned the pc off to get a Whisky and the noise stopped, my warranty is over in 7 weeks, should I be concerned , no further problems with my pc since.
Opinions would be appreciate,
Thanks.

If your computer is making a noise so loud it can be confused with your neighbor using a hammer machine, I am concerned and you should be too.

Could be something catching the fan, or the hard disk.

Phone them before opening it up. When I speak to Fujitsu siemens about my under warranty pc. They get me to try a few things & open it up. That means they can diagnose the problem over the phone & send the correct parts with the Engineer.

Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.

Thanks for replay,
RTAdams89 I was concerned (VERY) .

Clive pearce, I’m sitting only about 6/8 inches from the fan and noise never changes, I’m inclined it my come from the hard disk.
You put my mind at rest, I shall phone Dell Engineer next week.
Thanks again,

Maybe its the Whiskey? L.O.L For real you should call dell NOW. I mean before its too late they can get a new drive before that one dies and you may can save your data. Don't let them fool you by you sending the bad drive first. Give them the runaround and they will finally send the new drive first.

What do i put here if i don't put a question?
