hamachi through proxy?

I have Hamachi and am trying to set up a network between my work computer and my home computer. I cannot configure the work firewall so I had hoped that Hamachi would tunnel through it. Unfortunately, it cannot connect to the Hamachi servers and I believe this is because all port 80 connections from work are run through a proxy server.
Is there some configuration I can use in Hamachi for this or an alternative tool?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. This is a hardware firewall that I do not have access to and cannot therefore cnfigure it.
System is Win XP

The WIN XP firewall is off and there is no other firewall on my PC. If Hamachi uses UDP then that is possibly the problem. The hardware firewall might not let it through.
