Halo PC Won't Load

Halo won't load. I double click the icon, the Halo window comes up. After thats done. It goes into the bungie intro video thing right at the start. But itstead of playing properly, its lags and eventually stops. Then it just freezes and I have to close it using task manager. Ive tried re installing numerous times. It works in safe mode, but thats just horrible. someone please help
