I have been trying to install XP on my system with no success. I have an 80 GB harddrive if this makes any difference. I have tried partioning it into smaller drives as well as leaving it as one large drive. No matter what I do, I get the error :/windows/system32/hal.dll missing or corrupt when rebooting after installing from the CD. I have tried formatting the drive in FAT32 as well as NTFS. I am not trying to create a dual boot setup, just XP. Any ideas or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks.
