Hello All,
I have some issues Re:non opening links on webpages, and the only fix for that was to Disable Third Party Browser extensions.
So no toolbars/add-ons in Internet Explorer now.

Skype/Ebay, and also the Google toolbar in my Internet Explorer is not working, add-ons.

I presume i will not be able to get around this anyway??

I think it is because i have got missing Dll's in cache, reported when i did a sfc /scannow

I cannot get the Installation disks from P C World, Or Packard Bell, which CD 2 has the neccessary files/Dll's on. And of course, PC World want £1.50 a Minute from me to answer the above questions, daylight robbery only had the computer a few months had this problem awhile now.

The sfc /scannow asked for the second CD, and a friend has helped me by borrowing me a Pro installion CD but sfc /scannow is asking for the 2nd installation CD.

Have had DVD replaced, i have the Fan replaced, and i still have a noise coming from my PC intermitently. I have had to do Two Smart Restores, now the above, what next? Packard Bell phone line is a money making phone line for P C World, you cannot get anyone to answer, just gives you P C World etc phone numbers.

So, may have to await the release of Internet Explorer 7 as I.E. is a part of the windows installation. Who thought of that, i think i should have stayed with windows 98se.

Any ideas how to get Skype, ebay etc back in I.E. toolbars??
Except for enabling third party browser extentions, or is there a Fix???

Thanks, GEP
I have a Packard Bell iExtreme 2106 Gold XP SP2 windows media center PC I.E. 6

Hello Bryco, i have the latest version of Windows XP Pro SP2

Not sure which i would use on that microsoft website. If you could print copy and paste the part i need to use according to my Version of I.E.6.0.2900.2180 and Windows XP pro media center edition.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q318378 this is the link

I have not got any installation CD's which sfc /scannow asked for, that is why i need to update Internet explorer.

If you could paste it into a reply the exact Part i need to follow, i will see if its in my understanding, or get a mate to have a go at it.

Tried to download Windows service pack SP2 already have it.

Thanks very much for your reply, GEP

Try the Command line method...

Do you have a C:\I386 folder?
If so then it may contain everything you need. When asked for the disc just point it to the I386 folder instead.
