Comment:

I just got GTA III and whenever I try to load a saved game I get an error message.

I checked up on it and found out there is a patch out for it (v1.1) that is suppose to correct the problem. So I downloaded it and went to install it but I got the error message "unknown version."

Suggestions?

Actually the patch cannot be applied to the pirate version, hence the "unknown version" error message.

What kind of error do you get exactly, I might be able to help. Try to get the save game fix, instead of the V1.1 fix.

Warez sites just don't hand it on a plate like they used to do, most warez sites have corrupted files and are only up and running to get lots of hits, votes etc. They also collect email addys than pass them on to porn sites to spam you to death, not a very pleasant affair. :)

Maybe a P2P copy than again I wouldn't know. :O

Kevin don't say it can't be done, I used to do it LOL. The v1.1 patch only updates one file. This is the same file you get if you download an updated no-cd crack for the game.

If you want a better game all-around go out and BUY (as I did lol) vicecity. They did a much MUCH better job this time. This game is actually worth the money.

ROTFL, Sandman stop it, I just spilled the coffee all over me after reading that. :O

TBH I played both and like them very much, still have them along with the vehicle and map mods lol. vice city is a bit tricky with no sound, I get the no audio hardware message when I go to the options menu. Other than that both are smashing games.

Kevin.
