Hi all, I am having windows 2008 server with windows XP clients I would like to block using pendrives, CD Rom Drives, Digital Cameras in the clients using Group policy. Since I have some knowledge in Group policy I can manage to apply all the other Policies except blocking this. Please help me to solve this issue

I don't know much about the subject, but as nobody has tried to answer the question I will give it a shot!

The only way I could think about blocking something like that would be to restrict user accounts (basically to guest status) so that it would ask them for an administrator password to install new devices, however this would affect any new devices plugged into the system and any changes that they would make on the system

I will have a scan around and see what I can find on the subject!
