Solved GrooveMonitor.exe What is it really

Specs: XP Pro SP2, P4 2.8/1gb

Have noticed a new process running at startup and as usual when I see such things I went to ProcessLibrary.com to find out about it. This was the explanation:
"groovemonitor.exe is a GrooveMonitor Utility from Microsoft Corporation belonging to GrooveMonitor Utility"

Does anyone know what this process actually does? The explanation provided by ProcessLibrary is devoid of meaning.

It may be a bit paranoid on my part but this explanation looks like just so much spin from Msoft.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

It appears there is a utility in Office 2007 called groove. You evidently have Office 2007 installed. Below is a link to the MS groove site.

Thanks for that. Yes I do have office 2007 and have googled to get a better explanation than was provided at processlibrary.com.

Might have to switch my loyalties to CastleCops from Processlibrary as they seem to provide much better info:
