I have a blinking grey square in the bing search box where the cursor used to be.
It's in the bing search box on my msn homepage.
No changes to the system have been made.
How do i get rid of it?
Never run into that symptom. See if it is normal if you go here:
http://www.bing.com/If so a possible workaround is to save their homepage to IE Favorites bar (as a single click icon). If you are using another browser then there will be a similar feature.
About all I can suggest on the basic issue is to delete Bing in the search provider list then look for it again and add it back in. If something went awry that might fix it.

What browser are you using and have you tried Bing in another browser?
Also try clearing all your browser history, cache. and any saved shortcuts in your favourites bar, then try manually searching for Bing.Please reply and let us know if our help worked. Your feedback helps others. Maybe you?
Yes. BING told me that the blinker was changed by design and not by anything wrong.
There are no work arounds.
