Specs: Windows XP
what are green(thumb up) and red(thumb down) icons next to each entry and how are they used? Also in one section of forum with your thread names,on right side, is a check box
with a (REMOVE) title on top. what does this do?.Checked help site sent to me but
could not find.

Those thumbs are for the reputation system. Although I've only been on this forum for a month and a half, I haven't seen much use out of them. Reputation systems setup like this don't have much merit because anyone can +1 or -1 a post for any reason, including making it personal and totally unrelated to the post itself.

For your second question, are you talking about the Message List?
Each thread (discussion) you participate in gets added to the Message List. When a reply is made in that thread, the title becomes bold to inform you to reread the discussion. If you no longer want to track that thread, you can remove it from your list. It's basically a "subscribe to topic" feature found on other forums and is set to subscribe to all topics you participate in automatically.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily.
