i have a 5200 nvidia card. my system stays on 24/7, but has kept rebooting recently.
Initally i suspected norton anti-virus, because event viewer showed a reeboot at 1 minute after midnight: norton scans the system at midnight. However, the system reboots at other times with MS error reporting showing a device driver.
I then started getting NVIDIA as the cause. i rolled back the driver, but no luck. i tried installed the driver that came on the cd, but the system reboots half-way through the install! The latest drivers make no difference. i can use safe mode to install the original driver, becuase i get an error that a service cannot be started. if i boot in VGA mode the system does not reboot. i am at a loss ( I tried to format, using my windoze CD but the system reboots before i get to that stage!!!) HELP
