CPU/Ram: P4 1.8 and 1024SDRAM

right i brought the new 9800XT 256DDR and i know its not working properly i have no idea why,
OS Windows XP
Ram 1024SDRAM
CPU P4 1.8
Graphics ATI 9800XT 256DDR
Monitor Hewlett Packard MX70
Motherboard ABIT BL7-RAID AGPX4


on UT2K3 on highest settings im gettin fps along hte lines of 60 and then i have friends with Nvidia 4 Ti 4400 who is gettin the same fps im clueless to what is wrong with it can someone please help me im fed up! with it already

how many watt is ur psu?
your video card might not getting enough juice
whats ur voltage rails in the bios?
get the voltage montior program, and montior the voltage status while you are playing games, and see if the voltage will drop

il have a look at bios now you this voltage montior progarm ?

You need to go into your video settings and turn off V-SYNC. The best way to get to it is to right click on the desktop> properties> settings> advanced, you should see a ATI tab. Click on that and just start going through going through that options till you see a setting relating to V-SYNC. If you still can't find it then go to ATIs website or look through the help files. Just got done dealing with that issue myself on my FX board.

i found Vertical Sync but it has done nothing :/ so dunno whats wrong with it still

the only other thing I can think of is a setting in D3D.....or maybe the news groups might have some more info...
