I am going to upgrade my video card. What do you guys think is better.

More ram OR more clock speed of video memory.

ie. A 64 mb video card clocking at 400 mhz clock speed or 128 mb video card at 200 mhz clock speed.

To be perfectly honest the two cards in question are ATI Radeon 9000 64mb (at 400 mhz) or ATI Radeon 9200 128mb (at 200 mhz)

PLEASE GIMMI ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE I AM VERY COMPUTER SAVY SO DON'T HOLD BACK...

Your best bet would be to check out the reviews at the various sites like tom's hardware guide, ipconfig.com, and what actual puchasers have to say about the cards at newegg. Neither card that you mention would be on my list of upgrades, if any of my friends asked me for a recommendation. IMHO, for just another $40-50 you could get a much better card that would offer you much better service.

I understand that you and many others might not even like either card cause there are much better ones out there and i recognize that.

HOWEVER

In your experience / opinion what would any of you say is a MORE useful spec.

64mb - 400 mhz clock speed
or
128mb - 200 mhz clock speed

(the rest of both specs are identical)

if you only had the above options and both cost the exact same amount of cash.

Here are how the ATI cards rate in just pure speed: 9800pro, 9700pro, 9700, 9500pro, 9600, 9500, 9100, 9200. One thing to consider for future gaming use is the 9200 does not support DirectX 9.
