Right click MY COMPUTER and select Properties. Click the Hardware tab and choose Device Manager. Look at the display driver and see if it has a yellow caution sign next to it. If it does, right click it and choose update driver. It will then probably install the nvidia driver so you can get better resolution choices. Then go to the vid card website and reinstall the drivers. If you can successfully install the vid card drivers, you probably won't have to do step one.

It sure won't install a nvidia anything for an ATI video chipset.

That procedure should install the ATI driver for the HD3300 though.

yes there is, choose the radeon 3000 series. It won't specifically list the 3300.

:) grasshopper; maybe I should've said something like "I sure hope it won't install a nvidia anything for an ATI video chipset."

xshreder, you don't have a motherboard cd? Recovery cd? Anything? Tell us about your system; like what it is or what's in it.

ok, put the mobo cd in the tray and install the chipset drivers. If they are installed it won't install them again, so you have nothing to loose. Next go here http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownlo... and download the drivers and save them to the desktop or wherever you want. Just remember where you stored them. If it's an executable file, just click it and it will install the drivers. If not, follow my above instructions through device manager and pick choose location when asked for the drivers and point it in the direction of where you saved them. Then install. I didn't have time to check out your crad and what's available, but if you want to you can download and install the latest Catalyst Control Center from ATI and that should do the trick. Good Luck, and let us know.
