I ve been using IE internet explorer + the google toolbar long time without any kind of problems.

a particularly useful feature that i do find (and intensively use) in google toolbar for IE is the "word find" buttons, that is, whenever you perform a search, the words for that particular search will show up in the right part of the google toolbar, thus enabling you to faster find the words inside the found pages.

ok now i have set the google toolbar to open searches in NEW pages, and in the new pages the "word find" buttons will show up again, in normal flawless use.

after i have recently installed flash 8 on my computer (so not just ordinary flash player), the "word find" buttons will no longer appear in google toolbar in the new search pages, which in my case renders google toolbar totally useless...

i uninstalled flash 8, everything ok again, as before, but thing is, i need both google toolbar in perfect order and flash 8.

does anyone have any idea (about a possible interference between google toolbar and flash) and eventually some workaround for it?

cheers

Uninstall Google Toolbar, uninstall Flash, reinstall Flash, reinstall Google Toolbar.

tonysathre, yes i followed those steps in exact order but still to no effect.

it seems that no matter if i install google toolbar over (after) flash 8, it will still not show up the word find buttons, so i would conclude there is something about flash installation (and flash components for that matter) that is undoubtedly conflicting with google toolbar - maybe a flash internet explorer add-on...?

anyway i am getting angry about this whole matter, so i think i ll just let it be - 10x for ur suggestio nonetheless
