Comment:

Until very recently I was able to type math functions in the Google search box and receive an answer. These are simple mathematical functions such as addition, multiplication, division, etc. But lately, coincidental with changing from IE6 to 7, this no longer works. I don't know if IE7 has anyting to do with it or not. It may be just that: coincidental. What am I missing, and what do I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

It not an IE problem, it should be Google's problem.

I have informed Google about that, because I experienced same problem on Firefox.

it's working fine here with FF 2.0.0.1

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

Er.....mattie,

I've got FF 2.0.0.1, as well as Gran Paradiso and the anomaly is consistent eitherway - which would make some sense since it isn't so much a browser problem but something with Google's page design modification.

Sabertooth -

Does this mean you're having the same issue? Why doesn't Google get on this if it's as widespread as it seems to be. Grrrr...
