Dear group:

I downloaded Google Earth and installed it. My compupter exceeds the minimum requirments. When I start the program my monitor turns black. I try to reboot my computer and it will not reboot. I have to turn off the power and then turn the computer back on.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

wayne

Try uninstalling through add/remove in control panel, then re-install.

What else came with it when you were downloading? Try scanning for spyware first before you go so far.

Try turning off the hardware acceleration to see if that makes difference, usually found by right clicking the desktop. properties, settings, advanced, troubleshoot and move the slide all the way to the left.

Google Earth using Streaming media requiring access to the internet.

Perhaps your firewall is blocking it.
Are you on a high speed connection to accomodate it's needs.

(I have it and like it)

Hey group:

I installed the free edition of Google Earth. I have updated my ATI Rage 128 GL 4X drivers but Google Earth will not run in either mode. I also tried to turn down my hardward acceleration but that did not work either. I have a high connection too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

wayne
