What's the best CD ripper out there?
Best being something that rips in MP3 format, and is fast.

Audiogalaxy is junk because it plays the songs as it rips (I know, you CAN fix this) and Free Rip is slower than Nik Antropov.

Isn't there SOMETHING out there with no SPYWARE, NO CRAP, and just works great and fast outa the box??

I use dBpowerAMP Music Converter. Size is 1.5MB. I downloaded it from www.Download.com. No spyware and I haven't had any problems with it. Just does your basic encoding. I think speed will depend on you CPU.

Easy CD-DA Extractor is one of the best, but it's not free. CDex is the best freeware ripper I know.

Hope this helps.

If you have Nero installed it has a nice quick ripper built in. To rip a cd click extras>save tracks.

Feurio is also a good ripper but is a little hard to use at first.

This might be a stupid question but why dont you just copy the songs from your disc straight into real one player or windows media player where you can specify what format you want it in, you then can burn it to a disc or send to a device such as a mp3 player
