Specs: Windows XP SP1, 2.66GHZ 512
CANT GET INTO SAFE MODE EVEN
I ALWAYS WIND UP AT BSOD
THE LAST THING I DID WAS DEFRAG HARD DRIVE WITH PIRIFORMS DEFRAGGLER
AFTER RESTART I GET THE BSOD

As you've probably gathered already, goback2k.sys belongs to your Norton GoBack software. I imagine the defrag has moved some of GoBack's files and it doesn't like it. The problem still exist in safe mode too, which is why that mode won't start either.

You'll have to re-install Windows or do a factory recovery, whichever applies in your case.

Not sure if you can boot to the ghost cd to get it to offer a choice. I'd at least try that.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
