hi friends,is there any tricks to increase the browsing as well as downloading speed for AIRTEL Dial-Up connection?..
Details:
Phone:NOKIA 3110C
VIA:USB cable........

PRAVEEN, I share your dial-up dilemma, we share the same affliction. In a nutshell, DIAL-UP sux. There are a few things that seem to help me though, and I do them OFTEN (some like temp files daily, all others at least weekly).
1. delete 'temp' files.
2. delete 'index.dat'.
3. If you save a lot of graphics, delete the list of completed downloads.
I'm sure there're others as well, but those seem to REALLY help me. Any 'how to' questions, I'll be glad to share. Just start a new thread so I'll see it. I don't look at follow-ups.

Possible Issues and Resolutions for Slow Connection Speeds in Windows XPMost Virus and Spyware scans are likely to work better in Windows Safe-Mode.
In Windows XP, I have done this, no popups--
* Start | Run (type) "services.msc" (no quotes)
* Scroll down to "DNS Client", Right-click and select: Properties
* Click the drop-down arrow for "Startup type"
* Select: Manual, click Apply/Ok and restart.
(IF you are the only PC user, and not part of a domain.)
That also eliminates one SVCHOST process in Task Manager.http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hos...
