I was using Opera 7.01 browzer and there was power outage. When I turned it on and started Opera browser it was invissible. It existed in task manager, but not on my screen. When restart a message cumes up..."closing opera.exe" and then "the application does'nt respond. The same thing happened with my scanner app Vista scan. I uninstalled and installed them several times but no difference. Any idea?

It sounds like files were damaged. If you reinstall, the damaged files may not be overwritten. You need to uninstall the programs completely and then reinstall.
It is also possible that a Windows file used by these applications was damaged. Run system file checker.

It is probably a dll, but I have no idea which one. Run system file checker from the XP cd. It will replace any damaged files.
