Ghost 2003 Cloned HD Won't Boot

I tried both cloning to a second IDE drive and restoring to a second drive. The newly restored/cloned drive starts to boot then stops at the Windows xp splash screen and goes no further. I received no error messages after the Ghosting process---but the newly Ghosted drive is of a slightly different size than the original (original is 8.26 GB vs. 8.74 GB for the Ghosted drive. Also, when I check the Ghosted drive properties after re-booting to my original boot drive I see that the Ghosted Drive name has been changed to the name of my original. Also, I've tried switching the jumper setting on the HD around from slave to master.
