Comment:

I tried both cloning to a second IDE drive and restoring to a second
drive. The newly restored/cloned drive starts to boot then stops at
the Windows xp splash screen and goes no further. I received no
error messages after the Ghosting process---but the newly Ghosted
drive is of a slightly different size than the original (original is
8.26 GB vs. 8.74 GB for the Ghosted drive. Also, when I check the
Ghosted drive properties after re-booting to my original boot drive I
see that the Ghosted Drive name has been changed to the name of my
original.
Also, I've tried switching the jumper setting on the HD around from slave to master.

any ideas on how to make this process work?

thanks

db
