Hey,
How do I get rid of the recycle bin icon on the desktop? I can get rid of my computer, networking, explorer, and my documents from customize desktop under display properties. But not recycle bin . . .
Thanks

Why in the world would you want to get rid of the recycle bin? Any time you delete an item, it goes as a safety precaution to the recycle bin first. Should you have made an error, you can go into the recycle bin and restore it.
If you are removing some files that might cause system problems (or you think they might cause problems), you can leave the files in the recycle bin for a period of time and make sure everything is going to function properly before you delete it.
After all I've said, if you still wish to eliminate the recycle bin, download XP Power Tools (including TweakUI). There is a section in there which alows you to remove from view desktop icons (I believe the recycle bin also) They really aren't removed. Just out of view.
Let me know how you make out. As for me, I have nothing on my desktop except the recycle bin. I use Them XP and like the various desktop themes which are available. Just wouldn't do without the recycle bin.

In TWEAK UI, that change is in the DESKTOP
file along the left side of the main interface of TWEAK UI.

Ya, I didn't want to disable the recycle bin (course that is possible too) just wanted to not have that particular icon on my desktop since I never use it.
Thanks for the answer!
