If you have not formatted your hard drive yet, I would suggest buying a new hard drive, formatting it and installing windows, and NORTON antivirus. Update all the definitions, then turn the computer off, plug in the old drive as a slave drive, then turn the computer back on, and you should be able to use windows explorer to extract any old files that you want from the old drive.
