Hi:
After my son was on the computer today, I now find I can't enter my window. Everytime my page comes up, I get a black box with the "Windows/system 32/cmd.exe" for a second or two, then another white box that says windows will shut down in 3 seconds and the computer then restarts. What is the cause and solution to this problem? I'm only able to use our "Guest" window on our computer and none with administrative priviledges. Any and all help is appreciated!

... tap "F8" key @ boot-up select "safe mode" using arrow keys [press ENTER]

... use the Administrator account [press ENTER]

... once in safe mode click "no" on the "pop-up" that should guide you to system restore

... select a restore point by altering the restore calendar to a time when the pc was working fine.

Thanks, the steps given worked. Had to try several times before it all came together, but I'm now back to my own windows. Thanks again!
