Generic Host Process for Win32 DEAD

I had Adaware remove suspicous files and i think it took out some svchost.exe files and stuffed up my Generic Host Process for Win32 Services because i got an error saying that 'Generic Host Process for Win32 Services' is busted ... it stuffed up my norton ... i also cant access basic windows stuff like system restore, help and support, search etc (on XP)
Do i have to resintall Generic Host Process for Win32 Services or soemthing like that, because i think its stuffed on my comp!

Try sfc /scannow from Start, Run. Should restore whatever's missing, if anything.

I did that and threw in my XP (home) cd, but it kept coming up asking for the installation cd for some dll files ... i kept pressing retry and it kept going on, then asking again... it finally got to the end but it changed nothing ...
