Specs: Windows XP
I want to reinstall windows from scratch.
My original disk is with SP1.
I also have SP3 on disk.

If I install windows, then SP3, the go out to automatic updates will MS scan my system and install all security updates after SP3?

Anything else I need to consider?

Yes M$ will provide updates, both critical and non critical up to June this year, after that time only important Security Updates will be issued....

Reagrds install you can create a Custom XP CD which includes SP3 with nLite:

"...both critical and non critical up to June this year, ..."

Does that mean (as above you say June "this year") that only critical updates are now being released; or is really "next" year that you meant to say?

1) Have same question about June?
2) Any way to get upgrades from SP3 till today
on CD without download each individual upgrade?

and follow the tortuous path to the network download - which is quite a large file; the on-line installaton is path is a small file etc. - as you are merely installing an installation util and then grabbing them all of M$-land...

The network version is download to/for a CD use... etc.

If you google using:

XP sp3 download full

you'll get the above M$ hit; and more than a few others to similar full downloads (and CD sources too).

My bad. Based on response need to restate my question.

I have a copy of XP SP3 on CD.
What I am looking for is from XP SP3 to date and the easiest way to get them. I believe automatic updates will update my system, but would prefer them on CD -- but without having to download each one individually.

Ah - understand.. not sure about that; but I have a feeling others will know and also it is likely "out there" on the www too... Will have a look anon regardless (if only for my own interest/needs...) and post here here if needs-be...

google etc. using:

windows xp updates post sp3

and you will get a range of hits pointing you to them in various forms/styles...

Saves me duplicating what's out there - and there is a lot...
