Go to nvidia.com and download the the latest Detonator drivers as they improve performance 50% over manufacturers drivers. Make sure to remove old video drivers from add/remove programs to avoid having conflicts.

Your barely above XP's requirements on processor speed which might be the problem.
or
How can I speed up Unreal Tournament on my GeForce?

There are a number of Direct3D and OpenGL interfaces for Unreal Tournament that you can try in order to get better performance:

The latest OpenGL renderer (which supports the high resolution DXTC textures on the second CD) is available here:

All above I found here:

Try the 21.83 Detonators - I lost fps with the 23.11s.

Beware! The Nvidia Video Driver Update 2.3.1.2 of 10/12/2001 delivered by the Windows Update website is unsafe and unreliable! Once installed, it crashes the system severely (with the typical BLUE screen) if you try to open a full screen command line window or run Internet Explorer! Notice: this is the same problem I experienced with the Nvidia Detonator XP driver Version 6.13.10.2311. I solved this problem by re-installing the previous Creative Video Driver Version 5.13.01.2185 (Nvidia based, safe and reliable). Anyway, then I discovered that the previous version 5.13.01.2183 delivered by the Creative Labs website is more stable and reliable with Windows XP! My PC has an ASUS Motherboard P3B-F with an Intel PIII at 550 Mhz and 256 Mb RAM. Now I have a Creative GeForce 2 GTS video card (Creative Model ID: GB0010) but before it I had a Creative 3D GeForce 256 Annihilator PRO which probably was damaged by the frequent "blue screens" in WinXP due to the inadequate drivers I wrote you above; I had to have it replaced by Creative Labs (thanks to the 3 years guarantee!) so, beware to the unproper drivers you use in Windows XP!!!
