I just bought a geforce 6800 gt (agp) and I'm having a serious problem with it. I installed it and plugged the power to it and everything. I turn on the computer the fan on the card comes on but the monitor just keeps turning on and off over and over. it doesn't even show anything. I put my geforce MX4000 on pci with the 6800 on agp and when windows loads it shows that the 6800 is present and working. I also tried unplugging other things using power and nothing still. I have multiple monitors. When i boot up with mx4000 on pci and 6800 on agp the 6800 will show some funny color or the monitor will just turn on and off continously. My AGP worked fine when I had an MX420 on AGP with the MX4000 on PCI What could be the issue? I have 420 watt power supply, a gig of ram, 2.4 pentium 4, and 3 hard drives.

Just out of curiosity, what type is your motherboard? I have a 6800GS AGP too, and I'm having similar trouble with it. When I install it, nothing shows on screen, and I have a 550Watt psu. Did you try RMA'ing the card? Is your monitor VGA or DVI?
