Games have choppy sounds

Video: GeForce 2 MX 400 64 MB AGP Audio: SoundBlaster Live 5.1 Digital Audio Both have the latest drivers installed.
ISSUE
When playing games (ANY game), the sound and video gets real choppy continuously, and this happens ALL the time. It gets very annoying, and for game intros, it is very choppy as well, and takes usually about 2-3 times longer to complete than at regular speed because of the choppiness.

Check the audio settings in the game. Turn of such things as EAX etc as this will draw extra resource from your processor. Also, you probably going to want to upgrade your video card in the near future. The MX versions of the GForce range are cut-back versions and best worth avoiding if you want great game performance (this I found to my great displeasure, sure glad I'm rubbish at Americas Army anyway.)
