Comment:

I have tried some games out on my pc but they all give me the error GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Rite now i am tying out the Star wars Academy game and it gives me the same error. Any idea how to fix this. I have a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64Pro video card driver. I think it needs an update but i cant find on the NVIDIA site. Can anyone give me a specific link to it if they find it. Or if its not the problem some other solution would be welcome. I have the latest directx drivers so that cannot be the problem.

Thanks

Do NOT download the drivers posted in response #1...they do not support the TNT2!

You should always get your drivers directly from nVidia, not some 3rd party site. Forceware driver version 71.89 is the last to support your card. You don't have to take my word for it...see for yourself:

Forceware v71.84 support list:

"... and they're NOT 3rd party but original nVidia forceware ... doh"

I didn't say they were 3rd party drivers, I said they were from a 3rd party site...DOH! And although the 3rd party site describes the drivers as "8.1.9.8", the actual version is 81.98...DOH! AND if you go to the nVidia download site for the 81.98 driver & click on the 'Products Supported' link (same as I posted above), you'd read this:

"The following products are not supported in the current ForceWare Release 80 driver. Please continue to use the previous ForceWare Release 70 drivers available here

TNT2
TNT2 Pro
TNT2 Ultra
TNT2 Model 64 (M64)
TNT2 Model 64 (M64) Pro

Vanta
Vanta LT
GeForce 256
GeForce DDR
GeForce2 GTS
GeForce2 Pro
GeForce2 Ti
GeForce2 Ultra
GeForce2 MX Integrated graphics
Quadro
Quadro2 Pro
Quadro2 EX"

And when installing nVidia drivers, your should always follow the 'Driver Installation Hints':

http://www.nvidia.com/object/driver...
