What is causing my computer to hang when I install or play games? I just put together a new computer: Acorp 7KTA1 AMD Athlon 950 G-force 2mx400 Soundblaster live! value
After two weeks I finaly managed to install windows XP. I had to replace my G-force2 with another graphic card, but the good news were that winXP managed to find all my hardware and for the first time I have sound and graphics on my new computer ( I put the G-force back again). The BIG problem is that I can not install new games, the installation starts but after a while (different places everytime) the computer hangs. Once I got a massage saying that setup can not decompress and copy files important to the installation. Older games are possible to install, but sooner or later the computer hangs. What is causing the problem? Please help me! Laila

Thank you for your advise, Bilal. I have downloaded updates and installed directX8.0 and I even invested in a new CD-driver. Now I can install new games but no old games. And the computer freeze when I play games or work in a musicprogram. I have no idea what to do about it. Laila
